October 2026 Issue

Welcome to our October 2026 CACHI Highlights Bulletin!

As California ACH Week comes to a close, we’re taking time to reflect on all that we accomplished together and the incredible effort, collaboration, and commitment that went into making this inaugural week possible.

This moment of reflection feels especially meaningful as we mourn the passing of Dolores Huerta yesterday, a trailblazing labor and civil rights leader who dedicated her life to fighting for justice, equity, and the dignity of all people. Her legacy reminds us of the power of community organizing, collective action, and the belief that meaningful change is possible when people come together.

With elections just around the corner and uncertainty about what the coming year may bring, I’m reminded of how important it is for us to stay connected, support one another, and continue building our collective strength. As we look toward 2027, I hope we can carry forward the spirit of Dolores Huerta’s enduring message, “Sí, se puede!” Together, we can continue building an ACH Network that is stronger, more connected, and better equipped to advance our shared goals around systems change for health and equity.

Thank you for reading the Highlights Bulletin. If you have any questions or feedback, please reach out to Tina at tina@cachi.org.

We Want to Hear From You! 2026 ACH Network Annual Survey

The ACH Network 2026 Annual Survey is here! By now, each ACH Backbone lead(s) should have received our Annual ACH Network Survey. We’re gathering input and feedback from ACHs to help shape our network priorities, program offerings, and opportunities for connection and learning next year.

The survey invites ACHs to share their priorities for 2027, provide feedback on CACHI’s programming, reflect on California ACH Week, and identify opportunities for collaboration and collective action across the ACH Network starting next year. The survey should take around 20-30 minutes to complete.

We’d appreciate one response from each ACH, due by Wed, Nov. 25th. As a thank-you, each ACH that completes the survey will receive a $100 DoorDash gift card.

Please reach out to Limairy (limairy@cachi.org) with any questions.

Workforce Development Peer Learning Circle Update

Due to year-end scheduling conflicts, the Workforce Development Peer Learning Circle (PLC) originally scheduled for Thurs, Dec. 17th, has been canceled. Our final gathering of the year was held on Oct. 15th.

A big thank you to everyone who participated in the Workforce Development PLC this year! We appreciate the time, insights, and experiences you’ve shared and hope these conversations have been valuable opportunities for learning and connection.

Interested in continuing this PLC or exploring similar peer learning opportunities in 2027? We’d love to hear from you! Please share your feedback through the ACH Network Annual Survey (see above) or reach out directly to the CACHI team.

Update your ACH’s Contact Information

We are asking each ACH to take a few minutes to update their contact information CACHI has on file through this form link. This ensures that we reach the right people at your ACH for communications and ensure that important information doesn’t get lost. This information is for CACHI internal use only.

We also hope to develop an internal, ACH Network directory that only members of the ACH Network can access (password protected). You can indicate in the form whether you would be OK including your contact information in an internal network directory.

Link to form: https://form.jotform.com/262424165640251
Completing the update should take no more than 10-15 minutes.

Thank you to those ACHs that have already completed this form!

Please note: The form offers the option to describe the focus areas and priorities of your ACH, information that may be useful for peer learning and/or identifying partners who may be interested in your work. These questions are completely optional. Please skip them, if you would prefer not to provide these details for your site.
