Welcome to our June 2026 CACHI Highlights Bulletin!
Summer is around the corner, which is a time of growth and renewal - when the seeds planted in earlier months begin to take root and flourish. Across California, that same spirit is alive in the ACH Network. The relationships, strategies, and shared priorities cultivated through April’s Network Meeting, Peer Learning Circles, and collective conversations are now ready to be tended and grown into something lasting.
This is the moment to activate what we've been building. As the network deepens its connections and turns shared ideas into shared action, each ACH brings its own local knowledge and energy to the collective work of advancing health and equity. The warmth of summer reminds us that growth happens best in community through partnership, mutual support, and a willingness to keep showing up for one another. As we move through these months together, let's lean into the momentum, nurture the partnerships taking hold, and continue building a network that reflects the strength and resilience of the communities we serve.

Release of Our 10-Year Impact Report (2016 - 2026)
We're excited and proud to publish our 10 Years of Impact Report. Many of you who attended the Annual Network Meeting in April received a hard copy in your meeting materials — a virtual copy is now available online.
This report documents a decade of CACHI and ACHs across California building trusted community infrastructure for health equity. Inside the report, you'll find stories from resident leaders and partners, and read about 36 transformations ACHs have led across the state.

Upcoming Peer Learning Circles
We’re looking forward to ongoing Peer Learning Circles. We recently completed our second round of Circles last month, and we will be kicking off our third round starting next week. See information about next sessions and Zoom registration links below.
Peer Learning Circles are small, facilitated discussion groups led by ACHs for ACHs to share strategies, information, and lessons learned on topics of interest which were identified as priorities this year by the ACH Network. Circles focus on shared challenges, goals, or opportunities, and ACH participants can attend the ones most relevant to them.
All are welcome to attend. Please register in advance to help us effectively plan for the session.

Youth Wellbeing
This Peer Learning Circle empowers practitioners to master the complexities of holistic youth well-being (ages 10–25). Moving beyond silos, we will explore the vital intersections of physical, socio-emotional, cognitive, and economic development. This is a collaborative hub where we bridge the gap between theory and impact, focusing on evidence-based strategies that turn collective purpose into the policies and activities that reshape our schools and societies. (Facilitators: Rafael Avendano (Redwood City Together) and Nancy Vernon (Marin 9 to 25))
Workforce Development
This Peer Learning Circle will convene ACHs to share strategies, challenges, and innovations related to workforce development. Discussions will center on building, sustaining, and advancing community-connected workforces across California, including community health workers (CHWs), promotoras, and other trusted messengers. The Circle will provide a collaborative space for ACHs to learn from one another’s approaches, align with statewide workforce initiatives, and explore practical solutions to regional and local workforce needs. Through facilitated peer exchange, participants will strengthen collective capacity to support a resilient and equitable health workforce across California. (Facilitator: Dr. Shiloh Williams, Imperial County ICACH)
Medi-Cal and CalAIM
The CalAIM & Medi-Cal Peer Learning Group is a collaborative forum to share knowledge, problem-solve, and learn from one another as CalAIM and Medi-Cal continue to evolve. Through regular peer-to-peer discussions, and possible guest speakers, the group will explore practical implementation strategies, policy updates, and promising practices related to CalAIM and Medi-Cal including CHW Benefit, new enrollment requirements, Enhanced Care Management (ECM), Community Supports, health equity, data sharing, and cross-sector coordination. Community Rapid Response
This Peer Learning Circle will convene ACH’s across our CACHI Network to share stories, tools, resources, and information related to rapid response networks in our communities. The goal is to hear and learn from both ACH’s working with on the ground organizations as well as ACH’s who are leveraging their wellness funds and other resources to support rapid response efforts in their communities. This is a shared learning space with the goal to help strengthen, empower and inform our collective network in the fight to protect our communities. Building California’s Trust Infrastructure: Reflecting on 10 Years of CACHI (Public Webinar, July 16th, 10:00 - 11:30 AM)
We recently celebrated a decade of accomplishments with the release of our 10 Years of Impact Report. This webinar will draw on that history to share what has worked, what has been challenging, and what the network has learned together over the last 10 years.
We'll hear from CACHI's Executive Director, Rea Pañares, and from long-time supporter Bonnie Midura of The California Endowment, along with leaders from the San Diego Wellness Collaborative, Humboldt Community Health Trust, Redwood City Together, and the Antelope Valley Violence Prevention Coalition on how they've been building trusting, effective partnerships to advance health and equity in their communities.

We Want Your Input & Recap from May 20th Quarterly CACHI Webinar
Last month's quarterly webinar brought the ACH Network together for two rich conversations — launching our new data, indicators, and measurement learning series, and continuing the network-building dialogue we began at April's in-person meeting.
Below is a recap from the webinar on May 20th, as well as an ask to provide input on the ACH Network activities for the rest of 2026 if you weren’t able to join. See survey link here to a short 4-question survey (please respond by June 19th).
Launching the Data Learning Series
In response to your feedback from last fall's program survey, we're devoting the coming months to data. At the webinar, we walked through three foundational data uses - discovery and planning, monitoring and evaluation, and storytelling and communications - and pointed back to the library of past webinars, tools, and resources already available to ACHs.
We also heard from two ACHs putting data into practice. Mission Promise Neighborhood shared how their Youth in Action program turned youth-led participatory research on mental health into findings they brought to SFUSD and the SF Department of Public Health, with a new cohort now focused on immigration. Pajaro Valley Collaborative described their year-long process of anchoring on three priority areas, with a data dashboard launching in July.
A deeper-dive ad-hoc data webinar is coming later this summer, alongside optional one-on-one TA and coaching with data strategist and long-time CACHI friend, Andy Krakov. Stay tuned for more information.
Continuing the ACH Network Building and Activation Conversation
Building on April's Network Meeting, we shared back what we heard and asked about your appetite and capacity for suggested activities. Breakout discussions and Mentimeter results pointed to a range of opportunities for the ACH Network, including a strong willingness for raising the visibility of ACHs, the development of a centralized data systems and dashboards, and an assessment and inventory of ACH priorities to inform a common agenda.
If you weren’t able to attend the May 20th webinar or did not have a chance to share your input on ACH Network priorities and activities for the remainder of the year, we still want to hear from you!
